Therapeutic Approach

As a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), she is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and adults—whether individuals, couples, or families—through various challenges including addictions, mental health concerns, grief and loss, and faith issues. Rebecca utilizes a client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach in her counselling, incorporating techniques such as motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy. Her goal is to ensure that each client's story is not only heard but truly honored, equipping them with practical skills and strategies for authentic hope and healing.

Qualifications and Memberships

With a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counselling completed in 2006, Rebecca is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and Level One Theraplay (MIM) trained. She is also recognized as a Certified Professional Counsellor (CPC) by the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists (PACCP). Her over 15 years of experience counselling children, youth, and their families have endowed her with a rich foundation of personal and professional insights.

We acknowledge our main practice is located within Treaty 6 Territory and within the Métis homelands and Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4. This place is a traditional meeting ground and gathering place for multiple First Peoples including the Nehiyawak (Cree), Anishinaabe (Salteaux), Niitstapi (Blackfoot), Métis, Dene, and Assiniboine, whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries. Our online service spans what is today called Alberta and the Northwest Territories, which include Treaties 4, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11.
